There are days when I have found
The world seems inside-out and upside down
Time is ticking by so fast - nothing ever really seems to last

They say that life is really much too short
For us to take too seriously
That's not to say there won't be times when
Things seem mighty hopeless - to you and me - it's what we see
But there's a kid inside of each and everyone
Who loves to laugh and play
So take the chance to nurture him
And let him loose - a little more each day - lighten up your way

If we want to live to see this world become
A kinder, gentler place
I think we really need to look into the eyes
Of each and every face

Open up our hearts to understanding
I think it's worth the risk
